Alternatives
FABRICATION RESIDENCY + WORKSHOP 




    [ 2023 ] w/ Elliot Smithberger

    In direct dialogue with a previous research project that probed material properties of concrete, this summer workshop replaced cement-based products with sustainable alternatives. Each successive iteration foregrounded process as much as product, seeking the ability to manipulate plasticity as the material transitioned from a slurry-state to more innert phases. 

    A high level of control over mixture quality was pursuant to the workshops goals. Mixes were cataloged and inventoried.
